This is a great opportunity to get to know your therapist and see if you might be a good fit together. Feel free to ask any questions such as details about a therapist’s approach, how they would handle certain issues or even their favourite movies, tv shows or hobbies.
Every client carries with them a unique set of circumstances and needs. At Compassion Ontario we tailor our approach to suit your needs. Below are some of the main approaches we can take in your treatment.
Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)
CFT is a type of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy that is designed to address our inner critic, or inner monologue. We often have cruel, harassing and stressful inner critics telling us we are not good enough. Through learning how to push back against the inner critic and understand its origins we can learn how to treat ourselves more kindly.
Trauma-Focused Therapy
We encourage individuals to embark on a journey of self-discovery. Our therapists facilitate self-exploration exercises and help clients establish meaningful goals to enhance their personal growth and well-being.
Life Path Exploration
This approach is specially tailored to address the deeper root of your struggles. In trauma-focused therapy we will collaborate to create a safe and secure relationship to allow for the exploration of the most difficult experiences of your life. Through our dedicated approach we will work towards reintegrating and conquering these experiences to allow you to move forward, grow and thrive.
Self-Exploration and Goal Setting
We believe in supporting individuals in discovering their life goals and aspirations. Through reflective guidance, we assist clients in identifying their passions, values, and purpose, empowering them to live a fulfilling life.
